Schoolinka Bags TRCN Accreditation to Provide High-Quality Training Programs for Nigerian Educators

Lagos, Nigeria – Schoolinka is pleased to announce its recent accreditation by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), marking a significant milestone in its mission to enhance educator training and professional development in Nigeria. After a rigorous six-month accreditation process, including a comprehensive review of Schoolinka’s curriculum, resources, and training faculty, TRCN has officially recognized Schoolinka as a trusted provider of educator training programs, especially for teachers and school leaders across Nigerian schools.

The TRCN accreditation process included an extensive, on-the-spot assessment conducted at Schoolinka’s Lagos office. Led by Dr. Okunola Abimbola Hammed, TRCN’s Director of Regulation, Supervision, and Enforcement, the assessment evaluated Schoolinka's readiness to meet the council’s standards for educator training. The Council, established under the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria Act CAP T3 of 2004, is the national body responsible for regulating the teaching profession, ensuring Nigerian teachers uphold international standards of quality, professionalism, and discipline.
With this accreditation, Schoolinka can now offer certifications that carry Mandatory Continuous Professional Development (MCPD) points, which educators can use towards their teaching license renewal. In Nigeria, teachers are required to accumulate a certain number of MCPD points to renew their licenses, making Schoolinka’s certification programs a vital resource for their professional growth. Schoolinka’s technology-driven learning platform simplifies this process, allowing teachers to earn MCPD points online without the hassle of in-person attendance.
Dr. Hammed expressed enthusiasm about Schoolinka’s potential impact on Nigeria’s education sector, saying, “Schoolinka is preparing us for the future of education with its comprehensive training modules. I enjoyed the learning experience I witnessed here, and I can confidently say that teachers who go through this program will indeed become 21st-century knowledge facilitators. It is truly commendable that Schoolinka is ready and open to work with TRCN to ensure teachers across the country are upskilled and prepared for today’s classrooms.”
Mr. Oluwaseun Kayode, CEO of Schoolinka, emphasized the importance of this achievement in furthering Schoolinka’s vision: “Schoolinka is on a journey to building Africa’s First Digital School of Education, and this accreditation is a critical step in propelling us toward that goal. Our vision is to create a strong community of highly skilled education professionals who can design, deliver, and assess quality learning experiences across the continent. We are grateful to TRCN for their thorough expert review and insightful recommendations on enhancing our work.”
This TRCN accreditation unlocks new opportunities for Nigerian educators who wish to advance their skills, earn essential professional development points, and grow in their careers through Schoolinka’s standardized and accessible training programs. With its digital platform, Schoolinka is excited to lead the way in reshaping education and fostering teaching excellence across Nigeria and beyond.
